Weekend Round Up Sept 29-Oct 1

I can’t believe the end of the weekend marks the first of October!

Here are a few things to add to your calendar this weekend:

This weekend (and next) Baylor University and Waco Civic Theatre each have a stage production. Call a babysitter and grab a date to enjoy an evening of entertainment!

Saturday September 30

  • Visit Waco Downtown Farmers Market Saturday {500 Washington Ave, 9a-1p}
  • Hewitt Dog Days-Family friendly event {Hewitt Park, 10a-2p} $2 parking, FREE ADMISSION:: There will be a Service Dog Ceremony, dog adoption opportunities, petting zoo and other various other vendors. Visit the City of Hewitt website for more info! 
  • Central Texas Race For The Cure {Heritage Square} Pre-race activities begin at 8 am with the competitive 5K beginning at 8:30 and casual 5K and mile fun run after. Awards begin at 9:45. Adult and Survivor Registrations are $30, Youth is $25. For more information www.komenctx.org 
  • Mayborn Museum {1300 S. University Parks Drive, Waco} The museum will be open this Saturday! $8 for Adults and $6 for children (2yrs-12yrs). The museum is normally closed during Baylor University home football games; take advantage of the next available Saturdays until Oct. 21!
